Website Design

“During this strange time of limited social contact the internet has become such an important lifeline for business and personal contact. Our own business has lost its storefront. To get back in the game we needed a serious remake for our website. We tried to do this ourselves and it was just too much to learn quickly. Jennifer's design skills had come to my attention when she designed the advertising for The Woodlands Art Festival. I was so happy to put this project into her capable hands. Working with her was a pleasure! She listened to our ideas and was sensitive to our needs. We have a beautiful website that's easy to navigate and edit - exactly what we needed. I can recommend JWP Design Studio for your business needs!” —Christina Smith, Artist

Objective:

Design a robust shop to sell artwork for virtual festivals and shows.

I worked with artist, Christina Smith Art, in the Spring when we were gearing up for The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival. She is the featured artist. During quarantine, she reached out to me to see if I could re-design her website. She had the foresight to realize that many of her shows would be canceled or postponed. She needed a cleaner, user-friendly, robust site with a shopping cart component. That is just what we did. I created the site for her and in her two weeks of training, she really learned every aspect of maintaining her site. She learned how to add new items to the portfolio, change text, and even add new things to her shop. She is so excited because she said, "I'm an artist, technology isn't my thing, I didn't think I could learn anything new." I love that so much! I am so proud of her and she kept the integrity of the original site (you'd be surprised at how fast a client can "tinker" with a site).

In the first week after she re-launched her site, without any marketing, only SEO and tagging...she had her first sale. How great is that?

She had great foresight. . . The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is now virtual in October and her site is ready. Her work is beautiful. I was thrilled to work directly with her as the featured artist for the festival and again on her business site.
